Learning outcomes 

On completion of the course the successful student will be able to
• understand the concepts of interculturalism
• understand the relevance and meanings of multiculturalism in society
• recognise challenges of immigrants in society
• reflect his/her own starting points for multicultural encounters
• practice intercultural encounters

 
Content 

Student learns the basics of multicultural encounters (values, attitudes, cultural identity, and interaction). Understands the internationality and multiculturalism as phenomena. Learns the processes of immigration from different viewpoints (e.g. statistics, jurisprudence, integration processes). Becomes familiar with the local operators of his/her own country and becomes familiar with a new culture (literature and interview).
