Learning outcomes 

This course aims at acknowledging the genesis of the global ethics discourse as a stepping stone towards global ethical responsibility. It also aims at developing readiness to differentiate international problems needing moral commitment, to point out ethical preconditions for intercultural learning, and to see the necessity of global ethic for a fair globalisation.


The main questions for the course are:

1. What is the significance of global ethic in the era of globalisation?
2. What are the practices to maintain the importance of a fair globalisation?
3. What are the prospects for a more ethical future in the context of cultural diversity?


Modes of study 

Introductory lectures (15 h), independent studying (Web-based course on the Moodle learning platform).

Study materials 

Will be provided online via Moodle.

Evaluation criteria 

Students must prove that they are able to interpret and analyse advanced research on the lecture course topic by submitting written reports via the Moodle platform, to be evaluated 0-5.
