Description
Learning outcomes |
Student will gain ability to analyze, evaluate and develop mechanical behavior of structures, in particular those made of porous, anisotropic, hygroscopic and time-dependent materials. |
Content |
Essentials: Strain. Stress. Stress-strain relations. Transformations. Time-dependent mechanical behavior. Moisture and temperature effects. Complementary knowledge: Irrecoverable deformations. Energy dissipation. The fracture energy. Special knowledge: Brittleness. Strain-softening. |
Modes of study |
Lectures (30 h), exercises (71 h), literature, and examinations (59 h). |
