Learning outcomes 

After this study module, the student should be able to

- apply the guidelines and key literature to the preparation of dosage forms in hospital pharmacies

- prepare and document the most common dosage forms in hospital pharmacies

- follow the standard operating procedures for compounding

- solve the calculations involved in compounding

- handle sterile products with aseptic techniques

 
Content 

Compounding of most common dosage forms in hospital pharmacies, guidelines, clean room work
and sterilization

 
Modes of study 

Learning diary, tutorials, laboratory exercises, calculation exercises, written tasks. Attendance at laboratory excercises and calculation excercises is compulsory.

 

Minimum requirements: attendance at laboratory and calculation exercises, accepted laboratory and calculation exercises, accepted learning diary and written tasks.

 
Teaching methods 

Laboratory and calculation exercises 18 h, group work 6 h, tutorials 2 h, independent study 29 h.

Materials distributed during the course, selected guidelines and handbooks of pharmaceutical technology.
