Learning outcomes 

The student will gain deeper understanding of the techniques in biopharmacy and the research field of the discipline.


During the course the student becomes familiar with the discipline of biopharmacy using literature, which is agreed between the student and professor. The course is suitable for the advanced studies of M.Sc. degree students and for Ph.D. students. The course material is selected individually for the students depending on the knowledge, aims and the selected discipline of the student.

Modes of study 

Written exam, answers can be written either in Finnish or in English.

Teaching methods 

Independent work (50 - 210 h), final exam (4 h).

Selected individually.

Evaluation criteria 

Final exam 100%. ECTS credits (2-8) will be given based on the level and extent of the literature chosen.

Necessary background studies in biopharmacy, molecular biology, cell culture, analytics or pharmacokinetics will be reviewed upon inquiry.
