Learning outcomes 

To have gained an understanding of the key neurotransmitter systems and drug targets; to understand how the most common diseases and drugs can interfere with the activity of neural networks; to become aware of compounds acting as neurotoxins.

 
Content 

Fundamentals of neuropharmacology, neural substrates of drug action, neuropharmacology of neural systems and disorders, diseases associated with defects in receptors, key neurotoxins

Course has a maximum of 40 students, UEF pharmacy students having pharmacology or drug toxicology as their main subject will be have the first priority.
