Learning outcomes 

Understanding basic economics of multiple-use forestry and ability to use monetary and multi-criteria methods for evaluating forest management options.


Technical, allocative and dynamic efficiency. Demand and supply curves. Consumer and producer surplus, and externalities in multiple-use forestry. Monetary evaluation of non-market benefits of forests. Ecosystem services and payments for them.

Cost-benefit analysis and multi-criteria decision analysis in multiple-use forestry.
